Bentota

Bentota is a beautiful coastal region in the southern province of Sri Lanka, famous for its water sports, Cooking classes, and boat safaris on the Madu River.

Ayubowan, we warmly welcome you to the brightest pearl of the Indian Ocean! You have arrived at the beginning of your Sri Lankan dream journey, created with new hopes and aspirations. First, enter the luxurious car prepared for you after a warm welcome from your driver, who will guide you on your future journey. Before you begin your journey, you must relax. So, now you are in your shelter. At that time, you can rest and refresh. Before you know it, evening has arrived, so you can head to the night parties on Negombo Beach. With a variety of musical performances, delicious seafood, and a wide variety of drinks, you can have a relaxing night. Have as much fun as you want, then return to your usual lodge.

Get energised with breakfast and get ready to start the day. Today you will begin your journey to Bentota Beach, a place with a climate and coastline similar to Negombo. Although there may not be a visible difference between the two areas, Bentota can add more awesome experiences to your life than Negombo. If so, your first experience in Bentota is to join a cooking class. Here, you will have the opportunity to learn about various local recipes cooked in Sri Lanka and learn how to make them, and also do the same. After, spend some time in class and head to the accommodation Bentota has booked for you. There are no plans for today, so spend your time as you wish. In the evening, head to Bentota Beach and watch the sunset.

As usual, eat your breakfast provided at the lodge and depart for Udawalawe. It is a long journey of almost three hours. Udawalawe is a difficult village home to a dry zone forest. Due to its national park, many tourists visiting Sri Lanka rarely forget to visit this region. You are now in the Udawalawe area. Now be ready for a half-day safari in Udawalawe National Park. Here you can see elephants, bears, crocodiles, and bird species. This safari takes place by a jeep, and there are no restaurants inside the park, so remember to bring food if needed. After a nearly four-hour safari, you will be taken back to the entrance. Due to fatigue, you now head to the hotel prepared for you in Udawalawe. As the evening approaches, the entire province exudes a sense of tranquility, leaving you free to spend the rest of the day as you please.

Get ready to transition from a warm climate to a cooler one in the morning. That means Ella is your fourth day stop. Ella, a mountainous area with a peaceful atmosphere, is a city that is definitely on the bucket list of every tourist visiting Sri Lanka. You will encounter a waterfall named after King Ravana as you approach the Ella. It is most famous among Hindu devotees as a waterfall associated with a royal story believed to have happened thousands of years ago. Spend a few minutes at that place and then start your journey again. After 3 hours, you will have reached the Ella. You will see a bustling city there because this city, with many restaurants, is constantly filled with tourists. So, you will have a wonderful life here with a beautiful town. If you are tired, you can go to your accommodation and relax. The most beloved and free place in the Ella is Ella Rock. You can see a divine space and beautiful views when you go there. The wind blowing on the mountain top makes your mind feel better. It is a relief for the mind. So, this is the time to experience that beautiful moment for yourself. Also, remember that this destination should be traveled with a guide. With his help and safety, you can travel to the top. Once you get to the Ella Mountains, you can spend as much time as you want. That way, you're ready to head back down after a relaxing moment. From here, you can spend the rest of the day freely, so you can go out into town and have fun in the evening.

The fifth day of the adventure will also be spent in Ella. Sleep as long as you like and prepare to travel. Today, your tourist attraction is the Nine Arch Bridge in Ella. Built by the British during the colonial period, this bridge is still used for public transport today, and shows how advanced the rich architecture was at that time. After visiting the Nine Arch Bridge, you don't have a specific schedule. So, you can spend the rest of the day happily.

You will transfer to Arugam Bay Beach today since you have spent enough time in the mountains. Since the journey is about three hours long, have your first meal and start the trip in the morning. Your shelter is close to the beach today, so you will significantly enjoy Arugam Bay. So, go to your beautiful lodge and spend the rest of the day as you wish.

The waves at Arugam Bay beach are high, making it ideal for surfing. So, if you are a surfing enthusiast, today is a special day. Even if you are a beginner or not a seasoned surfer, there are instructors here so any traveler can learn to surf. You too can spend your time surfing today and enjoy the day through it.

Today is a day for mental and physical relaxation, so decorate it any way you like.

Pasikuda is a peaceful beach, just like the Arugam Bay. Since this beach is not a popular tourist destination, spending time there brings a sense of freedom to one's mind. Remember that this place, located in eastern Sri Lanka, has been included in your adventure to give you that mental well-being. Like Arugam Bay, Pasikuda Beach is also an excellent place for both experienced surfers and visitors to surf. Many people also come to this place for snorkeling. So, you can spend the day here any way you want.

Following nearly six days immersed in coastal life, you are now traveling to Polonnaruwa, which has a dry climate. The ruins of tanks, religious sites, temples, palaces, Botanical gardens, and swimming pools created by our ancestors can still be seen in Polonnaruwa today. So, today, you learn about the rich history and culture of Sri Lanka. Since it is less than two hours from Pasikuda to Polonnaruwa, you can quickly enter the city of Polonnaruwa. Next, we will take you to the historical sites of Polonnaruwa. Here you can see many religious sites—also, various swimming spots. Accordingly, walk around the historical sites until evening and head to your hotel.

Today is the last day of your beautiful Sri Lanka tour. Without you knowing, 12 days have passed. Now is the time to leave for Colombo with a suitcase full of memories. It's a tiring journey of about five hours, so have a good breakfast and prepare to transfer. The journey is very tiring, so it's better to go directly to your accommodation. Colombo is the most developed city in Sri Lanka, so several things are worth seeing here. That way, you can live up to the Colombo nightlife as you wish until night.
