Where is Marble Beach located?
Marble Beach is found in Kinniya, a small coastal spot only a few kilometres south of Trincomalee on the eastern side of Sri Lanka. It is set inside a protected cove, facing the huge Trincomalee harbour area.
The beach is maintained mainly by the Sri Lankan Air Force, and it is well known for its notably clear, steady, and very shallow water, which can look like a polished marble sheen during sunny, windless hours. Since the cove shields the shore from rough ocean currents, people widely believe it is among the safest and most untouched places for swimming along the eastern coastline, truly pristine.
