When is Esala Perahera in 2025?

The Kandy Esala Perahera is the most important and respected religious festival in Sri Lanka, held every year for several days with state sponsorship. It is held annually and is performed based on the relics of the Buddha enshrined in the Kandy Temple of the Tooth. So, it takes place between the auspicious months of July and August. In the year 2025, it will be held from July 30 to August 9. That is, it is a 10-day festival. Another valuable thing is that foreign tourists also come to watch this. The five-night Kumbal Perahera will be held from July 30th to August 3rd, the five-night Randoli Perahera from August 4th to 8th, and the Maha Randoli Perahera on 9th of August.
