What is the commercial capital of Sri Lanka?

In the past, there were several capitals in Sri Lanka. Namely as, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Dambadeniya, Yapahuwa, Kurunegala, Gampola and Kotte. Then, the current commercial capital is Colombo. This is because Colombo has good economic and cultural development compared to other cities on the island. Also, large buildings, surviving colonial architecture, a constantly busy market complex, and shops are all factors. Among them, Gangaramaya Temple, Vihara Maha Devi Park, National Museum, Red Mosque, Pettah Market, the Lotus Tower (the tallest tower in South Asia), Galle Face Ground, and Port City (a latest creation) have been able to attract tourists. Colombo, the island's capital, has further enhanced its value by attracting tourists worldwide through such landmarks.
