What is special about the wooden floor and main door of the Kubalwela shrine room?

The main shrine chamber at Kubalwela Asapuwa is known for its extensively polished heavy timber floors and also for the huge wooden entrance doors, which are carved in a very intricate way.

These architectural pieces were made with high-quality local hardwood, intended to help naturally regulate the internal temperature of the meditation space.
