Is there an entry fee for the Nine Arch Bridge?

Visiting the Nine Arch Bridge is totally free of charge, for real. It actually works as part of Sri Lanka’s public rail network, so there aren’t any ticket booths or entry payments you have to make just to see it or to walk across.

Even though getting onto the bridge itself costs nothing, you might still spend a little money while you travel there, like tuk-tuk rides and maybe grabbing something refreshing from the small hillside cafes nearby. Those cafes have excellent viewpoints, and honestly, they are worth that small purchase.
