How much is the Elephant Orphanage entrance fee?

The entrance fee at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is USD 16 for non-SAARC foreign adults, and USD 8 for foreign children. For SAARC nationals, the ticket price comes to USD 11 for adults, and USD 6 for children.

Pinnawala is between Colombo and Kandy, and it’s a very well-known place where you can watch captive elephants bathing in the Maha Oya River. Besides the regular admission, you can also get combined tickets if you want to stop by the nearby Pinnawala Zoo; it is roughly USD 24 in total for a non-SAARC adult. Just remember that extra hands-on moments, like giving the elephants fruit or milk, will have extra fees once you are inside the facility.
