How many National Parks in Sri Lanka?
Sri Lanka boasts more than 26 national parks. Of these, tourism is concentrated in only a few parks. Among them, Yala, Udawalawe, Wilpattu, Minneriya, Wasgamuwa, and Horton Plains are the most prominent. Through these, you can spot various species of wildlife, including leopards (found only in Yala or Wilpattu), elephants, sloth bears, deer, birds, crocodiles, and buffaloes. The forests full of such animals create many breathtaking views for you. Additionally, this effectively highlights the difference in biodiversity between Sri Lanka and other regions. Safaris are conducted in specially designed safari jeeps, with opportunities available on any day of the year.
