How long to spend in Galle?

It is usually enough to spend one or two days in Galle just to see all the highlights. Galle Fort happens to be the highlight of that area and is also a World Heritage Site of UNESCO with the historical colonial architectural designs, the narrow lanes, and the fine old church in the center, boutique shops, and a few cafes. Walkers are free to pick the fort wall, and the museums and the open view of the ocean. Spending one or two more days is highly recommended when visiting other nearby beaches like Unawatuna, Jungle Beach, or Talpe. Galle is rightly described as history, culture and relaxation and so a stopover solution in a Sri Lankan holiday for most holidaymakers.
