How far is Bentota from Colombo Airport?

Bentota sits about 110 kilometres (68 miles) to the south of Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) near Colombo. The drive generally takes 1.5 to 2 hours when going through the Southern Expressway, which I guess is the most common route.

Using the newer E03 expressway makes the trip much faster by slipping around the jammed traffic around central Colombo. The quickest choice tends to be a private airport taxi or a pre-booked transfer service. If you are watching the budget, you can also take an airport bus to Colombo Fort Railway Station, then switch to a calm coastal train towards Bentota, but that way adds time, usually around 3 to 4 hours in total.
