Do Sri Lankan travel agencies limit daily mileage on private tours?

Most private tour packages have an implicit daily mileage ceiling that is baked into the price, usually landing around 100 to 150 kilometres each day. It helps with driver fatigue control and keeps the vehicle fuel spending matched with what was originally quoted.

If you go for huge spontaneous detours that go way beyond the planned track, the agency can charge an extra per-kilometre amount at the very end. To avoid surprise charges, make sure every key stop and also the long-distance transfers are clearly written out inside the agreed itinerary.
