They often price the package using major stable currencies, so both the agency and the traveller are guarded against abrupt swings in the Sri Lankan Rupee.

When you carry out a bank transfer or a credit card payment, you just pay the invoice in the foreign currency that was quoted. It is strongly recommended to fix the tour price in your home currency, so your bank does not trigger unfavourable exchange rate conversions.
