If you check into a hotel and you run into real, unfixable complications (like serious hygiene concerns or the absence of amenities that were promised), your agency will speak up for you, trying to negotiate an exit and arranging a new location for you. But if the change is just because you changed your mind, then the financial impact will be rough and heavily penalised.
