Can an agency help me travel with my pet?

A highly specialised DMC can help with moving pets, but it is an incredibly complex bureaucratic process, with strict quarantine rules and not that many pet-friendly hotels. They also help you arrange the required Department of Animal Production and Health import permits.

Do take note, though, that bringing pets to Sri Lanka can be very stressful for the animal, due to the tropical heat and the lengthy travel periods. Most agencies strongly discourage it, unless you are moving permanently for a digital nomad long stay.
