Are there restaurants or food stalls located inside Peradeniya Gardens?

There is a single, government-operated cafeteria deep inside the Peradeniya Gardens that serves basic local dishes, light bites, tea, and cold drinks.

The cafeteria makes for a decent place to rest in the shade, though the food choices are rather narrow. You mostly get routine Sri Lankan curries and packaged biscuits. On the other hand, visitors are strongly urged to bring along their own picnic meals and then eat them out on the wide manicured lawns under those ancient trees.
