Are there food stalls or restaurants inside the Kubalwela Asapuwa?
Inside the Kubalwela Asapuwa boundaries, there are no commercial food stalls, eateries, or snack vendors.
Since it is a Theravada Buddhist monastery for strict spiritual practice, engaging in business activities is not permitted on the sacred grounds. Guests are therefore suggested to take their meals in the nearby towns of Ella or Bandarawela before they enter or after they leave. You are welcome to bring a reusable water bottle to keep hydrated when walking through the elevated temple complex, but having meals on-site is considered improper and disrespectful.
